Thanks Steve for them good points. Heres a couple tips for you to keep 7000 or 8000 running smooth. First keep that rubber bushing that keeps sickle drive belt tight compressed well for the auto spring tentioner is gone. Second is to move filler strip that is for filling area inbetween the header and feeder to the bottom of floor instead of on top. If there is any trouble getting straw from header auger to feeder chain it could well be the filler that Gleaner desided to fasten on top when it had always been on the bottom. Third is get a hand held grinder and remove the excess length of bolts near the feeder opening especially just ahead of rear striper on both left and right side. Fourth is if you are running wheat with an 8000 you may find the flighting in finger area is missing. Add it if you are having any trouble at all getting straw under auger. Good luck
