On the 1680 you can set the rear end to four different heights and the front has a high and a low position. This lets you adjust for a lot of different tire combinations. We ran ours level until last year when we switched tire sizes. I talked to Marvin Gorden who recommended running the rear high, so that's what we did. Now the machine looks like it's really going down hill! We are running the standard sieve in the shoe and a fixed airfoil sieve in the chaffer. I'm not sure how much difference it made, but we sure didn't loose much wheat out the back this year. I guess I would have to say that having the rear high doesn't hurt anything, and it doesn't cost anything to give it a try.
