The IH 303 was introduced in 1962. They could use the No. 22 corn head, or platforms in 10, 12, or 14 foot widths. Horse power of 65. Production ended in 1967. $300 should do if it runs OK, but how is the parts availabilityIJ I never ran one myself, but did see a few around years ago. 50-60 acres might be a good match for a 303. Could even be kinda fun!

We ran a 303 for 10 years harvesting 500 acres per year. Was a good combine. Could nearly run with the 403 in dry soybeans. We could shell 12 to 1600 bushels of corn in a day with it. We once combined 82 bushel wheat in a 16' swath with it. That was a bit much however!!!

My dad bought a 303 in '62. It was an emergency replacement for the 101 which had burnt op in the middle of wheat harvest. The combine ran well for more than 13 yrs when we replaced it with a 715. We have never had a combine that matched it for reliability or threshing capability in any crop harvest condition. I've seen a few in junk yards on Md's Eastern shore and lancaster Pa. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
