a dealer over in Pa. has been modifying rotors with parts from Saint John's Welding in Ks. are these like thoseIJ

We have a used 8570 1992, was used in Tiwn Falls Id. by a farmer-custom cutter. Thay say they cut about ever thing there is to cut with it and the in side of it look like it to. The man said he came up with the round front feed beater, this one is home made 2 rounded peasses bolted together with angle iron to fit over the sqwear parts with 4 rows of bolt sticking out with there heads cut off. My first quition is about the separating grate. This one has some of the rods bent and polled in from the side. How do I tell if it is wern outIJ Is there any better thing that work for wheat, barly and safflowerIJ I have meny more quition but no time right now. Thanks swtvid

The front beater can be replaced with a new style beater. The new one has auger flighting on it. I think it's the best improvement yet. You said a rod was pushed out; but didn't say whereIJ

No; I've talked to those guys before and even have a picture of thier rotor. I've sent them pictures of mine as well. The only thing these guys really do is change the front auger a little. You can see thier rotor on their website. I think it's St. John's welding something.

The rod is out on the separater grate. How dose the auger flighting on new front beaterIJ

It's flighting wrapped on the beater to feed it to the middle of the rotor opening. The rod on the seperatorIJ Still not following that one.

rotorman in your first post it said that you had made a kit to tie down the beef up the separater grates and that it make a difference, this is what I want to Know about. Thanks swtvid
