Combines injector in backward

American Bosch or Robert Bosch injectors that are installed in the 301's (649's) or 426's (670's). I don't think they can be twisted 180 degrees in any other engine model. They'll smoke like crazy and be low on power if installed wrong. It is very easy for the unfamiliar person to install wrong. Return line should be toward the rocker cover not toward exhaust manifold.

the injs. on the deutz 1011 engines can be put in backwards as well. cost me a thousand dollar bill, ouch. Symptoms are as you stated.. Probably most bosh injectors can be flipped huhIJ AC had a dummy proof idea for us IJ

happened to my 7580 -426 engine.mechanic died suddenlyandthe one the estate lawyer hired to put the 5 tractors that were apart in his shop back together didn,t have a clue about AC. I am told some Mack truck engines are the same.
