Re; clips that catch on the chaffer. I had the same experience with my R-52, so I attached loops made out of plastic cable ties to the sides of the shoe so that when I release the clips I restrain the clip in the loop and no problem replacing the screen. Hope this helps.

Sounds like a good plan - will give it a try. I was thinking of something along those lines too. Just curious if anyone had a better fix. Thanks!
