I put one in on my 1640 by myself took a day but wasn't in a rush what i did was total disasemble of the old fan with impact wrench wow do you ever end up with alot of bolts ..dealer said to take it out whole u had to jack machine up or park it over a trench.. just don't tighten all the bolts when you are at the last stages of the tinwork install and the large wireharrness thats on the side for the header reverser keep it outside of all new installs tie clip it later I think its a great update

In the early 90s when I was runing two 1660s I installed the crossflow fan on them. On the first one I did it like the instructions called for by driving the combine up on blocks and all that. like the first post said it took about 8 hrs working by myself. When I did the second one I saw no need to have a second set of obsolete parts lying around so I used a torch to get the old fan out. Cut my time in half. By the way it is a great update and you'll never be sorry you put it in. K.A.
