Combines interrupters

I started with the Disrupters a few years ago, kind of graduated to bolting in Tiger Jaw sections to provide a sharp edge to cut with.Check out this link to Hy-Capacity Co.They are doing something similar to what I am doing ,only with 3" sections.http:__www.hy-capacity.com_shark_tooth.htm This will give you another option to think about. It is vitally important that you put something on your separator bars to keep that crop mat moving so that it cuts and not start tumbling in there. That's why Rod mentioned the spike bars on his spec. rotor.Whatever I've done, I've never gotten results as good as a chopper, but you do what you can with a stan. rotor in a 1440 like I have.Good luck.

swede... a question for you.... Based on your graduation as you say...should I assume that the disrupters did not work for youIJ I have a 1440 with a standard rotor and was concidering installing disrupters and scaloped bars. Thanks for your response here or by e-mail.

Neb Al, would suggest you look into Hy Capacity sharktooth shredder which has sickel sections on it to shred the bean stocks..not hard to switch grates so installation is simple...used one last fall on my 1460, regular rotor and had no trouble planting or field cultivating bean ground this spring....I did also install the newer style spredder shields on the rear to get material to not drop on the rear axle and accumulate so there was very little bunching.......Steve

Jerry, the Disrupters didn't not work for me,it was more of a case of not leaving well enough alone, tinkering, and trying to make it better. The square edge on the Disrupters looked to me like it would have a hard time cutting those bean stems,so I tried something sharper.I found that as aggressive as the coarse-toothed sections look, they had a tendency to hairpin some pieces of stem that were hanging on by a thread.Hope this helps.

Al,I couldn't get Don's message to come up ,so maybe I'm going to tell you the same thing he said. What you want for a standard rotor is the "toothed",or"notched",or"scalloped"bar in place of your smooth edge separator bars. The only difference is that these other ones have teeth on them to dig into the crop-mat.They bolt on the same way.Shoup Mfg. in Kankakee,Il. is one supplier,I know there are more.If you're not familiar with them, look them up at shoupparts.com Cost is $34 for one not hard-faced,and $85 for hard-faced.Hope I've helped you and not made things more confusing.

The Disrupter along with good scallop bars will cut your beanstraw in 3 to 8 inch pieces and your spreader will spread its full width. As far as horsepower requirements most operators find no power loss and some have reported a power gain because the system (relieves the constapation of the rotor). The rice spike bar must be used with The Disrupters in specility rotors. For more information please call 1-800-235-4461

I put in the disrupters and they did not help. I thought they were a waste of money.
