I don't think you'll get an answer from the Deere boys, they can't adjust the face angle of their feederhouse. On an IH, the further forward you tilt your feederface, the lower you will shave, but if you go too far it will affect feeding. Are you trying to cut lower, is that the problemIJ

Just trying to get the lowest cut without the sickle pushing.Using a combo of feeder tilt and sickle tilt and trying to balance it all out. Actually the newest Deeres have a tilting feeder plate. Their recommendation I find, is when the pivot bolt near the bottom of the feeder house side is 34" off the ground,then the feeder front should be perfectly vertical.I haven't checked that out yet to see how far off I am. I don't understand why they can't have a degree number when the head is in operating position.Too simple.
