I don't know about the old orange heads but the low profile orange heads had a FG537 and the black heads had A536, A538 and A540. Harvs could make one up for you. If you are so inclined you could take a A440 head and slide the units over and put a fifth unit in the center and get new snapping roll drive shafts (one for two rows and one for three rows) and new center tin. Why not go with a 8 row planter and 4 row head to keep things standardIJ

We chopp the stalks. Well my dad just told me now we might stay with the 630 planter. so I will need a black 630 that fits an F if I can find one. I think it would be too much to change a 440 over, but if i cant find a 630 I'll give it a try thanks

Finding a A630 for a F will be like finding hen's teeth. If your corn yields more than 125bpa you will be spending a lot of time in low gear. A A430 head will be your best match. If you plant with a 6 row planter only one pass out of three will be with guess rows. Once you get your planter markers set you won't have any problem harvesting with four rows. If you have to buy a planter get a eight row then your four row heads will match.

You don't want 6-30's on an F of any year.Spend what it takes to keep your 430 in good shape. In 200bu corn you can't go slow enough in 2nd to keep from overloading shoe.If you have a hydro it won't matter so much.I plant 6 and pick on 4.No big deal.Drive halfway straight planting and you won't knock down any more picking than when you look back at bin to see if it's about full.

My first gear is pretty darn slow I'm positive a 630 will work on my F,its a very strong combine. And I have never throwen any corn over the shoe ever. So have you seen or heard of a 630. Thanks

My Manual for black series corn heads shows botha 530 and 630 with adaptor kits for F,M, and l series combines--heads were basically the same, metal baffles are added to narrow the thoat opening for M and F series.Drives for each series are unique for each. Ben.
