The summer 1992 issue of "Old Abe's News", Vol. VIII No 2, the magazine of the JI Case Collectors Club, has a good article on the history of Case combines. It was written by Dave Erb and includes serial numbers an units sold per year ect. However, all he says about the Model Q is this, "The Model Q was also a prairie type design, and was only made between 1930 and 1931. It was made in only 12 and 16 foots sizes." He has many pictures and specs on other machines but nothing on the Q. In looking at the serial numbers I would guess that they made about 2000 of model Q's. He does not say it but the Q may have been made for export to Argentina or Australia. If you contact Dave Erb, the editor of Old Abe's News you may be able to purchase a copy of the combine issue.
