I talked with Shawn. I bought it in the nick of time, because they had someone wanting the motor out of it for a 4020. They seemed to be pretty good people to work with. We pulled in with the semi, and they did all the work in loading it. We just chained it down. She seems to be a solid machine. The previous owner run 400 acres through it a year since 1969. He completely rebuilt it over the course of the past 3 years. All the bearings, belts, chains, augers, ect... have been replaced or rebuilt. I seems pretty solid. I just would like to be able to run a newer platform on it.

I would think you could mount a reel drive pump somewhere on a drive that would engage with the seperator, like it does on a newer combine. All you would have to do is find a shaft on your machine that would run about the same speed as on a newer machine and put the flow control in the cab and you should be set.

My neighbor put a newer JD flex on his gleaner. All he did was monted a hydraulic pump that ran off the header drive. He mounted it to the right hand side of the header then he ran a toggle switch to the cab to control the reel speed. I beleive he replaced the shaft on the header and welded a sprocket on to run the pump but you shoulnt have too because your shaft will work since your not putting a differnt head on a differnt combine. If you have any other questions go to gleaner combine talk show.
