I hope you live in the country, not the city. I don't think your neighbors would like looking at a 30 year old piece of a combine in the neighborhood everyday. Although I would'nt mind it.

Thank you. Being a former USAF pilot, safety is always on my mind. I have a lot of time in a 4420 so I am comfortable with this machine. I'll try to find the serial number today. Will a 4420 platform, by chance, bolt onto thisIJ The platform is pretty small on this one.
You might want to check the distributor before you give 'er a whirl. Keep us posted. I also enjoy your pictures. Have fun!! I also saw a guy pull one backwards before with the rear wheels on a tow dolly like you use to tow a car. Just another thought.
I can't help you with the head. I think a 4420 would drop on but, I don't know for sure. My color is RED. My cousins ran a 4400 Diesel until it died. If I remember right they had a 15' or 16' head. I was around it some and ran in the same field with it a couple of times. I had a TR70 NH then and the NH had more capacity. Good luck and keep us posted.
