I dont know about the metric bearing question but the bearing is a piece of cake we did ours on our 9600 last year it looks way worse than it is we had about 2050 sep hours when ours went how about yours You may want to replace the pillow block bearing while your in there and also the bearing flanges about 12 bucks each have fun and good luck

I guess she's around that 2200 sep hrs. I'll change the 3 bearings, no use going in after the other one shortly after.

take the cutting torch with you as well that inside bearing on the pillow block was tight let me know how you turn out

Yes the bearings are metric.....and I am pretty sure this answer doesn't help. Oh for the days of old when the mechanics pristine world was not complicated by metric conversions under the guise of making our world simpler.

Most of the bearings are metric. There are some that aren't, such as the shoe augers...still the good old 1" bearing.

Yeah she wasn't too bad. Took around 2 hrs for one side. The hardest part was the cost at 166.00 each bearing!
