I have not heard of a 9600 with that small of a header but a friend was running a tr97 with a 20ft header and didn't have a problem. You may have to run faster.

We run a 920 on a 9600 in rice and its a bit small even cutting 140 bu. and up crop. I think it might be small in beans.

Where are you locatedIJ I am trading a 230 ridged in on a 925 flex. Dealer needs to get rid of the 230 - good header should be between $2500-3000. Could help in the wheat and keep the 220 for the beansIJ Then trade both in at later date. I think it would depend on the n of acres of beans and wheat. Hate to that much of a machine go to waste. Have a good day.

I appreciate you letting me know about the 230, but we're in Southeast Missouri in the hills, I don't think it would work too good, besides we typically only have 80-100 acres of wheat and then a bunch of beans, so I don't think it would pencil out. The reason for buying the 9600 is because the 9500's are bringing more money, for the price I was able to get the 9600 in top shape and have room to grow in the next few years. Around here I know we can't get bye with a 30' but a 25' is possible. I thought I could run my 20' for a couple of years and then trade.
