Right now we own a CTS II. Traded a 9600 in for it. The CTS will out cut the 9600 in barley and wheat and give you a better sample. Disadvantages is like other rotories, they grind the straw up but not as bad. Plus they are pretty much a small grains and rice combine. They were priced above conventionals probably because they had more iron. The CTS II is a 9500 with 2 rotors instead of straw walkers. The CTS II also has the same hp as the 9610, grain tank extensions to bring the capacity up to 240 bu, and same front axle as the 9600 series. Even though the CTS II is built on the 9500 body it weighs more then the 9600. Reason they have declined in value is because of the STS. They are going to stop production of the CTS pretty soon. If you are looking at a used combine for small grains, its hard to beat the CTS for the money.
