I have a 25' draper for my 9610; - no problems during my first season, and it did about 800 acres of mixed grain and soybeans!

I have ran a 936D with Finger Reel for two seasons on the 9610. This past year I installed the poly skid plates. It goes very well through my HRSW and Durum. Was going to try it on soybeans but decided to keep the flex head with Crary Air Finger reel in the beans - can't do much better than that. I would recommend the unit. I see that Deere is upgrading the unit for this year with a different angle hanger frame unit to help eliminate the bulldozing of dirt when cutting low and also put more fingers on the auger for better feeding. The bulldozing was a problem until I got the platform angle set right and this yeat the skid plates helped to make it go smoother over dirt. Duane North Central North Dakota

Be aware that the 2002 John Deere draper header has been redesigned to allow the cutterbr to ride closer to the ground

I would have to consider that feature to be a big "plus". Maybe I can sell my flexhead after all!

The support beam under the cutterbar wastoo deep on the 2001 header. By that I mean that when you tried to get the cutter bar down low enough to do a good clean job in peas, the support beam would contact the ground first. The cutterbar tilt adjustment was of some help, but not enough. If you are buying one make sure it is the latest model.
