had the same cart, it was an overwhelming piece of junk. Every two days it would shear the bolt holding the auger to the gear box, and we would have to dump it all out on the ground to fix, even with grade l9 bolts. Called united farm tools to complain, they made the cart for deere. recomended shimming the gear box straiter. Come to find out you could see that the box was not true to the shaft and was causing some binding. a few washers later, it never had problems again. dont know if this helps your problem, but is a testiment to poor engineering.
