Combines JD Heads on a 1460

I am running a low tin 643 cornhead and a 920 flexhead. The IH electric will not work on a JD head. I removed the DAM box from the right side of the platform, made a bracket and fastened the IH potentiometer to it. It adjusts like the DAM box did and works very good.

When you say DAM box, are you referring to the unit on the (JD) header itselfIJ I would really appreciate some detailed info of how you did this if you wouldn't mind. Rek-Tin wants to sell me a kit for $ 225.00 to make this work. They then told me adapting to a JD head with the original IH header control valve isn't nearly as good as their complete $ 550.00 valve assembly. It sounds like you accomplished what I want to do with minimal alterations. I would greatly appreciate an email with some specifics.
