We are running a 12 row JD Row Crop head on our 8010 right now. Had to modify opening pretty significantly, but its running 6.7 mph in 80 bu milo pretty easy.

Good luck with the milo. What caused it to go downIJ We had a few acres with charcoal rot that fell. I did my best with the milo gaurds on but eventually had to swap to the other flex head without the gaurds to get a little closer. Isn't that lip on the front of the JD head going to cause problemsIJ The one that looks like a rock gaurdIJ

You are not picking up 80 bu milo that is flat on the ground at 6.7.

Funny when the first storyteller saws off the limb that he just climbed out on. gs

Naw, our milo is standin perfect this year, but there are years where it goes down. I never said our milo was down this year. Does a draper pick up milo off the groundIJ If it would, I'd be all for a draper, a row crop head is pretty expensive to run, but I've never found anything that will do a better job.

Why wouldnt you just use the reel if it is standinIJ way less work to run than a row crop head and plus more trash left in the field standing.
