I've never run mine not locked up in wheat. I heard once that you could cut milo with it down, but never tried that either. I think you'd be MUCH better off with it locked up. Be sure to get the right bolts to go in the holes, makes it a lot easier to do. We set our 930 on the header trailer and use a floor jack and a block of wood to push the skids up. Good luck. BH

Andy, pin it up. Thats the only way to go. There's just too much room between the sickle and the auger when its in flex. JD's system of pinning up a flex isn't the best but it works. How's your wheat turning outIJ

Not got into the wheat enough to know yields yet. last year was my first year in many to run some wheat and was the first I used a 920. Couldn't get it to feed worth anything. I locked it in place while it was sitting on the header cart the other night. If it ever stops raining here in Indiana I would sure like to try it set this way. Rains every 3-4th day here. A lot of spotty stands and a lot of acres will not even be planted. Thanks to both of you for the advice. I knew there had to be something I was doing wrong. Forgive me though, the 920 is on the front of a 1460 combine. Andy
