check to make sure your reel is level. also check

You bought too soon, Should have got a newer flexhead with the retractable fingers all the way across the auger for better feeding. JD now offers this like the Cat combines have over the past two years. Works great.

Try bolting a strip of tire sidewall{1 1_2"x8"} on the back side of the flighting using the brace for support, so it sticks past the flighting by 3". Use a single 1_4" bolt near the base then it will just fold over when it hits the striper on the back side.

We use a Crary air reel and can't imagine going w_out it.
