Combines JD9600 grain not falling thru walker slots

Two thoughts cross my mind. 1: Are they full of cob or stalkIJ Meaning, is cob or stalk wedged in the slots not allowing the grain to fall through. 2:Are you driving to fastIJ

this wheat is it free flowing on the walkers or unthresh still in heads attached to straw if still attached to the head unthreshed reset the concave and drum check that the beater grate in in the right place and make sure the curtain in still in the right place.. the walkers should only have looose grain and should shake out easy good luck

Don't mean to sound like a smartie but are you sure the crop is readyIJ Usually wheat is pretty easy to thresh.

We have had the same proplem. Especially in down wheat with low bushel weight. It is impossible to control. Concave has to drawn up almost hitting. If your rasp bars are worn it is twice as bad. THE only thing you can do is slow down.

Had the same problem, as have many others who lOOK for field losses. I chose to trade my 9500 after many trys by company people to fix the problem.No combine is perfect but Deere really has some work to do to avoid the walker problems on the 9000 series.Our field losses alone would have made the payments on a new rotor. Kuchar has some mods that are supposed to help.I think there is too much air blast to the walkers and not enough to the sieves, comparitively.

Seperation in 9000 combines has to be done at the cylinder and beater. There is very little that can be done on the walkers. With this in mind I recommend the following. 1. level your concave to the cylinder. 2. adjust your front concave opening to 3_16" 3. adjust your rear to 1_8" 4. pull the pin so you can freely rotate the cylinder. 5. loosen the stop on the concave adjustment. 6. tighten the concave until you hear it hitting. 7. tighten the clamp. 8. check the amount of clearance in the upper hole.The outside edges should have almost zero clearance.As you look across the concave bar you will notice that towards the center there is far more wear.The same holds true for the rub bars. If there is too much clearance you will not thresh your wheat with out slowing down.
