Combines jdhead

You might get by not cutting the auger but it will work ok other than that. Ihave used jd heads for about 10 years but hold on when you price the adapter. Ihad one for a F2 that they took in on trade.Ilike the head as it has less gears than an allis.

I run a 643 JD head on an 84 N5 with bish adapter. I haven't changed auger flighting but did have to saw off the drive shafts on the corn head to put on extendable pto type drive shafts that came with the adapter. Some guys do change the feed auger flighting but so far I haven't had any trouble feeding corn at all.
