Bird, The Johnson Grainsaver_Rock and Dirt Guard works really well,not only keeping dirt and rocks from entering the Header,but also works really well in short bean varieties.The roughly 3" tall guard acts like a fulcrum and once the beans pass the guard there is no way for them to lay on cutterbar or fall off the front.Also you will find that behind the guard you will find it almost level full with beans,but they can't roll off the front so they keep getting fed into the Header.Cost is $20.00_ft. and relatively easy to install.Hope this helps!
