The main differences between a 91R60 and an early R62 is the cage sweep, the discharge rattle chain, and two straw spreaders as compared to one on a R62. There are many small differences, mostly to make things easier to work on and adjust.

What are you refering to - "discharge raddle chain"IJ Also, by '91, the R60's had the P3 processor so it wouldn't have the cage sweep. Thanks, Tom langan

The discharge chute was so long and flat that it would tend to plug when a weed or other green material was kicked out. The raddle was installed in the floor to maintain constant flow away from impeller. Yes the 90 91 P3 machines had a cage sweep. It ran for and aft in an arc over top of cage. A very neat setup if you have to have the sweep. I hope I am right on my facts

Was this chain a special optionIJIJ We had a 1990 R60 and it didn't have any chain in the discharge chute. It was the Hawk edition, corn and soybean special. I have never heard of this chain. Kurt

Make sure you check out the fan in that Duetz engine. They can get to where they don't pull enough air into the engine. It might not bother you where you live, but cutting wheat in Kansas when it is 100 degrees out, it can cause some engine heating problems. I always liked the sound of the big v-eight Kurt

Our '86 R5 did not have this wonderful device when we made the deal to buy it in '92, but it was added as an update by the dealer before we took delivery. At the time, we didn't have a chopper, (only the impeller, that may have been some of the problem). I think my arm still has bruises from trying to unplug that blasted chute. All it really needed was a few rolls of twine and we would have been making cute little bales. We put the chopper in, took out the little conveyor and put the floor back where it belongs. Works perfectly. Irv
