Over here (Europe) we had pre-series CX working in mas last year. Both did about 600 hectares of mas ( 12 to 14 ton_ha) in very weth conditions. All those belts 'n chains gave them a capacity which was by far superior to competitive machines. None of the machines had a breakdown, and during the season none of thes belts 'n chains had to be tightened.

Space that out over a 15 to 20 year life span ownership like most family farmers keep a combine and we'll see how long they go without repairs and retightening. Why can't engineers make it simpleIJ less moving parts....longer life and less maintenance. That's what we are after with a 1_4 million dollar machine. Not 2 to 3 years of use and then it's worn out. Not bashing NH.....All these companies are that stupidic.

Yeah, at first glance, it does seem like lots of moving parts and belts, etc. Take a good look, though, you will realize that this combine has no more belts than any other conventional combine. And this machine even has the rotary separator and straw flow beater turning as well. There really isn't very many belts because if you look on the right side there is almost no belts, it just looks bad because they are all on the left side. I have ran these combines this past harvest, they are going to be very reliable.

If they are such a wonderful machine like you say then you tell me why they arn't as popular and don't have the volume of machines out there like the othersIJ

The reasonIJIJIJ AGCO!!! If an 8780XP was painted Deere Green or CaseIH Red, you'd see alot more of them.

I agree! as I recall there were no drive chains, no variable speed belts and less than 10 belts. the only problem was it is only a mid size class6 machine, the machine should be very cost efficiant and cheaper to purchase than other class 6 machines.
