Blow out the radiator and refill. It may not look bad but blow it out anyway, you may be suprised.

Yep I've blowen it out many times and it still dose the same thing. I may have to get a new radiator if this keeps up. Thanks.

A couple more things to check. I assume fan belts are in good shape and not slipping.(Check water pump with belts off to verify that it turns freely.)Check radiator cap to see where it pops off at.(Too low of cap pressure or a cap that does not seal will raise water temp.)Thermostat stuck closed. Ignition timing firing too late. Hope this helps and hope you can find a solution,Hyper Harvest II

yes or timing too advanced, the thing we see most in these is trash in carb inlet filter causeing the eng to run lean.

I have not tried the timing thing. Now that I remember when I bought it my dad was screwing around with the distributer he said it was laboring.So I'll give that a try and the carburetor screen also. Thanks guys!
