Check your pulleys to make sure there are no rough spots or cracks in them. Next when everything is tight make sure the pulleys are in line. It is hard to see if the alignment is right but it is the main cause for belts to shed thier skin.

Sounds like something is out of line, if it has a belt tensioner on an arm with spring tensioner make sure it is square and strait with the other pulleys. This belt, if in line should run 2500 hours. Something simple is causing your problem. Good luck

Fixed it today. The pto shaft inner bearing was going dry[bad] and the outer bearing was not too smooth either. I guess that caused the shaft to move in some causing the hydraulic belt to be out of alignment. It sure runs smooth now and my belt stays on!
