My father bought this machine new in Oct of 1978, it is a long tail version. I have replaced the clean grain elevator chain twice, last time with roller chain, tailings elevator same deal, concave bars once, front bearings on raddle, raddle chain, clean grain elevator boot, relined the inside of top of clean grain elevator to bin auger transition, replaced rear axle pivots, took factory pivots out replaced into frame with one piece 4140 grade thick wall steel, two sets of variable speed sheeves, driven side only. Engine has had pump repair for a seal failure, nothing else. I have replaced the unloading auger pivot (hyd fold auger) twice, hitting trucks with auger out will do them in. Machine is run in barley, wheat, oats, soybeans, corn, and has been run in timothy and orchard grass. Since buying second machine hours on K2 have dropped markedly. When machine was newer we had 2 operators and often ran 24 hours a day in corn. At that time there was no other corn machine in area. It is running right now in 70 bpa wheat. Heads used 10' rigid 4-38" corn, and the corn head is to much for machine. It get a "tummy ache" at about 140 bpa corn.

My neighbor Don Berwanger has a K2 with that many hours on it. It has run everything in the neighborhood.
