Combines k2 tire size

I had an E3 with 16.9-26 that I put 14.9-26 duals on with 6" spacers then put tire chains on the duals. We were running beans on ground that had almost enough frost to hold the combine up. I had a 13' header on it. Most of the time the main tires held it up but when we broke thru the duals and tire chains did the job. As far as how wide of a single tire probably a 23" tire would be it. I know 28l-26 and a 13' header on a F2 doesn't work in mud.

Sorry to hear about your muddy harvest. 18.4 x 26 was the widest drive wheel offered on any of the K2 models. I guess you could try getting a 23.1x26 or 28.1x26 wheel from an F2. If it is possible to swap them, you need the right years to do so for both models F2_K2 [1978-1981]. I believe those years had 10 bolt pattern rims on both the F2 and K2 - I thinkIJ, perhaps someone else on this site can verify that since I am not 100% sure on it. The earlier K machines and the 1977 k2 [sn:24201-25200] are short back machines and they share the 8 bolt pattern drive wheels.
