Combines K2 transmission problem

it has been a long time but I don't think there is a snap ring on the gear behind the drum. There is a roller bearing on the shaft and there shouldn't be and loose play there. Possible, just possible could have had some E parts thereIJ don't know. Does your trans have stub axel or does the ax shafts go into the transIJ And no no damage if you are talking cone_cup bearing set up - you should be ok.

Well, after some tinkering and fitting, we have discovered that the bearing on the other side is shot, causing the vertical slop. So, I have to remove the clutch, it looks like. What a job. And I've got wheat ready to do. Rats. Wish I would have noticed that problem earlier in the year. Maybe I can cajole the neighbor into combining my wheat with his axial-flow.
