Combines Knife rolls vs standard rolls

First of all be sure you have a grease zerk on the back side of the big variable feederhouse drive pulley. This zerk was not provided on older TR's. Our experience is that the knife rolls pull about the same. We find that especially in down corn the knife rolls pull the stalks in and down near the front of the rolls so you have much less tendency for stalks and trash to be pulled up onto the snouts to where the rolls can't pull it down. To me the knife rolls are far better. My 2cents worth.
