We have removed all the knives from our 8570's rotor. When we had a 8560 we removed all the knives in the front(concave area) this helped with capacity as the 8560 lacked hp. good luck.....Neil
Hey there, I am running 6 knives on my 8570, and the reason being is we have barley that will lay down and stay a little green and the knives keep it moving through better. It does an decent job it wheat but nothing to brag about.
