how fast are you running the feederhouse backshaftIJ and is this high yielding corn or high %IJ i have had trouble with a 30ft flexhead w_ an air reel but don't have a 18 row head yet. just 12 row 20in.

i don't remember exact back shaft speed,650 or better.typical header drive belt life about 10 hrs.irrigated corn 200 to 220 bushels

Make sure all pulleys are lined up correctly, our 02 sts came out of the factory off just a little and tore up 3 belts.
