looks like you are ahead of the game to think about planting. Good idea. I have no experience with Kinze planters. I will share with you some of my planter ideas. First since you are on the RED page this topic will be about the IH Planters. I have a 900 planter and Case-IH has kept the same units to do it. With this set-up you have two things going for you. First the openers are offset to provide a easier cut to plant any crop. Second the closing system is still the same. There are very few IH planters that change or add different wheels...etc. to close the furrow. I can remember when Pioneer was telling there dealers that this is the best planter on the market because of the closing system. One other addition that is good to add is a firmer of rebounder to apply liquid fertilizer to your crop. I have good stand results with my 900 on this farm. I have told others that I "Have the cheapest planter on the market". JWK

I just ordered my latest new Kinze planter. I am staying with the finger pickups despite the fanfare of the new style. It won't make me more bushels and will cost more while having more to break down the road. The dealer had yet to sell any vacuums but had 12 fingers ordered.
