When Kubota invited the farm press to Nashville earlier this summer to get a firsthand look at its new Grand X tractors, it seemed appropriate the event was held in the Music City. After getting the lowdown on the tractors, the company certainly has something to sing about.

What?s more, the next generation of M Series midsize deluxe tractors will serve as a springboard to Kubota?s entry in the near future into larger horsepower tractors. As Paul Williams, senior product manager, sales and marketing, explains, ?We have a proven track record with smaller horsepower tractors. It made sense for us to take the next step into the larger tractor market. It represents a big growth opportunity for us.?

Kubota?s X Series comes in four models?M100GX, M110GX, M126GX and the M135GX. They range from 85 to 118 PTO-hp, and are powered by a 4-cylinder turbocharged common rail system diesel engine. The engines are equipped with Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) systems to meet EPA?s Interim Tier 4 standard.
