been a while since we ran a l-2 but ours did a very good job cleaning if the settings aren't working the way they are go the other way we had a set of EAGER bars in ours they had every other tooth cut out and then remaining teeth hard surfaced these were some eating sons of guns nothing stopped it. sorry for no more help than this. Bob also had a modified seperater grate in it this helped also

The rebuilt bars sold by Trimpe in Seymore,IN. do a great job. My M2 runs 4-4.5 mph in 50 bu. beans with them. Also try putting the cyl. at 1_2in. clearance, which is the setting suggested by the book. It works well for me in most conditions but I will go closer in droughty beans.

I have a 15ft. head on the M2. The Trimpe bars have every other tooth taken out, the remaining teeth are built up higher than before and hard surfaced. Much more agressive

Would the HI-lOW cylinder bar concept work on the l2 IJ Why not put one cut out welded up cylinder bar followed by one regular height bar. Total of 4 welded up cut-out bars and 4 regular bars. They say the tall bar flips it up and the short bar rolls it resulting in better threshing SO... WHY NOTIJIJIJ
