Combines l 3 670T Engine

Have been using 15W-40 for years in my 8030(670T),8050(670I)and N6 (670I) and had the underhaul done a year and a half ago and the inside of the engine looked like new and the bearing looked fine but replaced anyway(cheap insurance at 3100+ hrs). And have run that oil in the 180(2800),190XT(2900),7000(649T),7020(649I),F(2800) and M2 (649I) for years before that with NO TROUBlE!

I use shell rotella T 15W40 with XlA and have had no troubles in my 1987 l3 combine with the 670T engine, just purchased it last season and it used no oil on 100 hrs. and it just barely started to tint in color, my machine has 1600 engine hrs. I like the shell oil as we use it in all our semi trucks and it always comes back good on the oil analisis. We use shell in every motor on our farm, makes things simple not haveing all those extra oil barrels laying around the shop. Good luck with the l3, its a very simple machine and easy to set and operate, we sure enjoyed running ours last season.
