yes we converted several with Bish adaptors from Harv's Farm Supply. We don't like the offset. The last we did we fabricated ourselves. Take the top attaching sheet metal off the side rails of the A630 the remove the siderails via 4 bolts each side, drive the R50 up to the corn head which is on blocks and jacks and mate the throat to the combine centering the combine to the header. This will line up the lH throat of the head to the lH throat of the R50 the best I can remember. The RH side shaft will have to be lengthened of one can switch sides as in the Bish kit. The shafts are easily extended by cutting them, then sliding them into a 1 1_4" ID pipe and welding to new extended length - this preserves the alaignment when a good tight almost fit is found. The top piece is then cut, bolt the side rails back on to the head, lay the round cross pipe in the slot in the throat top and reweld to the new shortened length. Now lower the header so as to gap the bottom and use grease or paint to coat the knobs on the bottom of the throat and the holes for the roll out latch hooks - then raise the head to mark the spot to cut out holes for the line up. After cutting the holes roll out the hooks and weld a bolt which has had the head removed ( a process my mother in law would like to do to me) cross ways for the hooks to latch over and secure the bottom. This is much better than the Bish weld on bolt on setup. Dont worry about the slides and header close up sheet metal, corn will do this naturally, when you unhook the header you have about a half bushel you can feed to the hogs or give your MIl for thanksgiving decorations - do not, I repeat, do not confuse the two options here. We usually have to slow down the header auger with a smaller drive sprocket and cut the auger flighting on the short side and add by WElDING a flight extention from an early A630 to the side needed to match the center of the flighting to the center of the header. The header shafts will have to have the fore _aft slot elongated so the shafts can move to the rear about and inch best I can remember. Hope this helps, I am sure I have forgotten something but this is the majority. Two men can do this in less than a day, in about 2-3 hours for the second one.
