Hey we looked at the 8010 CASE also first word we both said what the hell is up with all those steel lines. We over heard about 3 other farmers say the Massey was the best looking machine going today. The CR960 even looked better.Think they should of stayed with the old design its proven and well liked. Now i know why our dealer said if wanting a new combine hurry up and order a 2388.

The comments about all the hyd. lines on the CIH and NH combines reminds me of the comments that were first leveled at the JD 4010 tractor when it first came out.

I was also at the show on Wednesday and alot of people looking at the NH and CIH combines. It seems to me that the CIH design fits on the "common platform" better than the NH Twin Rotor. The Twin Rotor combine looks to me like alot of different components just thrown together to make a combine. There is no continuity or smoothness in the design. Alot of empty space covered up by the plastic shell of the machine. One advantage of this is that the NH may be easy to work on. My biggest impression of the day is the ongoing complexity of row crop planters and probably the higher costs associated with it. Both the Deere and the CIH planters seem to have tubes and hoses running all over the planter frame. Much too much "stuff".
