If the concave is rounded much I would replace it.It's not hard to replace,lower the front raddle and concave,remove top cover from throat,raise the throatput achain down through the cylinder and hook to the concave,small hoist hooked to the chain makes the job easy.Take out the bolts and get the concave free.Then reverse to go back in .I've changed concave alone in an M-2 in 2 hrs,is easier with 2 people.Don't know about concaves for specialty crops.You should be able to lower the cylinder to hit the concave,if not the bars or concave is worn or the concave frame could be broken.
