you have diagnosed the possibilities. Unhook the header coupler so you can pull the belt back and forth by hand with the machine off. You should be able to hear and feel the problem of lack of air gap, warped armature or rough bearing. The clutch on the lH is not that bad, remove belts, unbolt sheaves, the hub is a swedge type unit that has extra threaded holes to use the removed bolts as push off bolts to unswedge and thus remove.
