If you are talking about the shaft inside the feeder beater, I am almost positve you have to remove the feeder beater to put those in.

to rebuild a feeder beater, pull the beater out, remove hand hole covers, remove all fingers remove drive gudgeon , remove bolt on eccentric and insert small chisel to spread clamp, remove shaft and remove from hand hole cover, inspect shaft for straightness, replace 'plastic' brgs and needle brg. Some brgs had seals, some were sealed roller brgs. Some were greasable some not. IF it was a floating beater the end unbolts. loctite fingers back in. before removal index for correct timing. usually run beater in max up position.
