Jim, Sounds to me like the oring on the piston in the servo valve is blown. That is the cylinder shaped piece on the side of hydro. You must have a early l2 for they used only an oring on the piston. The later machines us a teflon ring which doesn't fail. There is a small hose by that serve valve and the fitting on one end of it is an orfice so check it when your at it. It is common for the old l2 to need a little throttle to get oil for lifting header. You could have pump tuned up but I doubt it will help much. Have a good day. Dan
