Combines l2 rear walker shaft

I have a pair of used walker shafts (front and rear) that came out of a burned l2. New ones are quite spendy but I would let them go very reasonably. Give it some thought and e-mail what they would be worth to you. I assume UPS will take them. Walker shafts wearing out is a new one on me but I suppose anything can happen. Tom in MN

I have used a grinder to shave off part of the wooden block to make it fit snug. It is a slow process , but works. I am with Tom, I can't imagine a walker shaft wearing out. WW

We had a M2 that had walkers rubbing, even broke a couple walkers. We found that we had a bent walker shaft. We found this one day when we had the engine at an idle with the seperator clutch engaged. If the shaft is bent, the metal on the outside will flex in and out as the shft goes around. We were able to find a used shaft at a salvage yard, but it still was an expensive deal. Todd

If you have a hydraulic press and a runout guage, could you straighten a bent shaft if your carefulIJ

Thanks for all the comments. I have noticed that the raddle drive sprocket is worn. Will look into further. I have tried previously to shave new blocks for a tighter fit - still happening - that's why I think I'll try the new shaft - but it is an ouch in price! Thanks for all the comments. I'll let you know how this turns out when I get the original out!

If you need a good used rear walker shaft I have oneif your interested. Before I would buy one I would make sure that is the problem. If both outside walkers are rubbing it would seem that it would be very obvious that it is bent. More likely the shaft is wore badly. Good luck.
