Combines l2 unload auger swing joint problems

Are the balls oiled or greased. I oil the one on the M2 everyday. You said you replaced the inner ring, the outer ring may be the one that is worn. If it is the balls will try to come out and bind the joint. The balls are supposed to be .5 in. If they are not in good shape such as pitted with rust or worn out of round, this will add to your problem. You could replace that joint with the nylon plate aftermarket joint. last time I looked it was a little over $400.00. I have one of these on the other M2 and it really works good. When the ball unloading joint goes out on the other M2 I'm replacing it with the nylon one. Hope this helps and GOOD lUCK!!

The outter ring "looks" ok. The balls are .5" and brand new. How is the nylon differentIJ

If the track in the inner or outer ring is not good the balls will tend to "walk out" of the rings and will get in between the inner and outter and lock the joint or in my many cases make the outer come off in mid air. You might have too many balls in the assy. The plug might have come off and let 1 ball out ( I had this happen also). The nylon assy has no balls to give trouble. It doesn't rust and dirt doesn't seem to bother it as much as the other style. The big difference is the price. Have you had any luck getting it unstuckIJ

It isnt often that replacing the balls or the inner ring does much long term good. Just bite the bullet and get the entire assembly, keep it greased and it will out last your combine.
