Combines l2 Vs M

The corn head should work on the l2 and the m but there is a difference in feeder house widths so you will need to adapt it over which i dont have any experience with but most of the black gleaner corn heads are l_M which means they will work on both. We currently are running a Black 6 row on a 76 M gleaner and im shure you can put it on your l2 but with a little adapting. As to the engine there are 2 sizes of motors put in the gleaner combines so you would need to make shure that they are the same series as your tractorbecause we also have a 7080, and a 7020 and the small engine in the gleaner is the same as the allis tractors so i think you would be alright if you made shure it was the right series! Good luck and thanks for your post!

The heads will interchange by changing the latch widths on the l_M or A series heads. The M series runs the 2900_649 Turbo and_or Intercooled. The 7000_7010 uses the 2900_649 turbo, the 7020 uses the 649 Intercooled and the rest of the 70 series AC's use the 3500_3700_670 series engines. Front plate, oil pan and the location of the dip stick are the only changes between the M Gleaner and an AC 7000 if it is the non-intercooled M engine.
