Combines l2 w series 3

What plug does your l2 have if it has the 3 wire plug you will need to make an adapter plug to make it work. The series 3 uses 6 wires to work the flex. Your l2 only uses 3. Your l2 should just have a switch for auto header. The series 3 had a switch plus dial to set sensitivity. With it you could fine tune the head. By the way what is the price of the series 3 head. I have one I want to sell '86 green stripe with new feathering sheets. 20' Just curious

the plug is 3 wire on l2. Dealer said about $200+ to update to l3 auto header. What about reel speedIJ The dealer wants $7500 for orange stripe--7 on scale of 10

I'd take that for my green stripe '86 with new stainless feathering sheets, and plastic fingers. I'd call it a 7 or better. I run mine on an 81 l2 runs fine. Header has hydraulic reel drive with the hydraulic on the head. You just have to have a wire from your reel speed switch to actuate the motor on the head. Where are you at. I'm in NCKS you might come look at my head if your close. It is in pretty good shape. looking at a 1680 so I want to sell my combine and headers.

I'm in SE OH. Too far to travel now unless you still have it when snow starts to fly. Only have 300 acres bean left and figure we'll run our series 2 for rest of season.
