Combines l2 walker loss

One thing comes to mind: make sure the screen above the separator raddle is in the fully down position for small grain. Holler if you dont know what I am talking about as many guys remove it and then forget about it, and subsequent owners dont know they should have it. Tom in MN

don't forget walker risers.(fishbacks) One can install up to ten per walker to the best of my memory.. these will slow down and help prevent "matting" of crop as they help fluff and turn crop. RPM is extremly important. Keeping 2400 rpm - 1100 rpm at fan shaft - at load will increase sep. capacity. Tom's post on shield above raddle is correct as well.

I would like to know more about this screen. What do you do with it in cornIJ Just finished picking my corn today (first time with this l3). Haven't grown much corn at all till recently here in central Kansas so it was a learning experience to say the least, especially by the time we got an old orange 630 working that had been sitting outside for a few years. Anyway it seemed like I had a lot of cobs going over the chaffer. Shouldn't most of them be going over the walkersIJ Maybe by next year I'll learn how to set everything.

You pin it in the full up position for corn, or cobs will beat the daylights out of it. Tom in MN

If you have cobs with shucks attached coming over the shoe you have either a air_fan problem or a low RPM problem.

The cobs did not have shucks attached. I was just wondering if they should be on the shoe in the first place or should most of them be going over the walker and through the chopperIJ
